2004 Spring Calendar for meetings and field trips
Details for the events listed below may change and new field trips may be added. Please check the list shortly before each event, especially the field trips.
January 28, 2004 (Wednesday)
Regular Meeting
7:00 p.m. State College Municipal Building,
Program: Our guest speaker will be Tanya Dierolf, a senior at Juniata
College, will talk on the institution's Raystown Field Station
focusing on its osprey reintroduction project.
February 22, 2004 (Sunday)
** Field Trip: Manure Chase
Carpoolers meet at the Omega Bank at the Westerly Parkway shopping
center by 7:30 AM
Leaders: Roana Fuller and Mark Henry
All levels of bird watchers are welcome.
February 25, 2004 (Wednesday)
Regular Meeting
7:00 p.m. State College Municipal Building,
Program: Our guest speaker will be Don Bryant who will talk about
Raptors of Kenya
February 28, 2002 (Saturday)
** Field Trip: Winter birds and early migrants of Huntingdon
County
8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Leader: Dave Kyler
Meet at North entrance to Stone Valley Recreational area
(the entry road to the Nature Center).
Carpoolers meet at 7:30 a.m. at Westerly Parkway Plaza behind Omega
Bank.
In case of inclement weather, the tentative alternate date will be
Sunday Feb. 29.
March 21, 2004 (Sunday)
** Field Trip: Early spring migrants at Bald Eagle State
Park
8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. or noon
Carpoolers meet Molly Heath at the Omega Bank at the Westerly Parkway
shopping center by 7:30 AM, or meet at the Bald Eagle High School at
8AM.

** Field Trip: Detweiler Run, with a short stop at Bear
Meadows.
6:45 a.m. to late morning
Carpoolers meet at the Omega Bank at the Westerly Parkway shopping
center and depart at 7:00 a.m.

** Field Trip: Scotia Barrens: Warblers.
7:30 a.m. to ???
Carpoolers meet Matt Rockmore at the Omega Bank at the Westerly
Parkway shopping center and depart at 7:00 a.m. to arrive at the
second entrance to Scotia Pond in the Barrens at 7:30.
