2005 Fall Calendar for meetings and field trips

Details for the events listed below may change. Please check the list shortly before each event, especially the field trips.

Unless otherwise noted, all regular meetings will be held at 7:00 p.m. in Room 201 in the State College Borough Building on South Allen Sreet, State College, PA.

September 24, 2005 (Saturday)
** Field Trip: Big Flat/Indian Wells Overlook: Fall migrants
Carpoolers meet at the parking lot at Whipple Dam State Park by 7:30 a.m.

September 28, 2005 (Wednesday)
Regular Meeting
7:00 p.m. State College Municipal Building
Program: Our guest speaker will be John Yerger, Undergraduate Student at Penn State, who will talk about birding in Southeastern Arizona.

November 2 , 2005 (Wednesday)
Regular Meeting
7:00 p.m. State College Municipal Building,
Program: Our guest speaker will be Don Bryant, who will talk on raptors in the Northwest.

November 6, 2005 (Sunday)
** Field Trip: Bald Eagle State Park: Ducks
7:30 a.m. to noon
Meet at the Omega Bank at the Westerly Parkway shopping center by 7:30 a.m. for carpooling over to the McDonald's restaurant near the I-80 Milesburg exit at 8 a.m. The group will then visit Curtin Wetlands and Bald Eagle State Park.

Program: Program: Our guest speaker will be Sarah Pabian, Graduate Student at Penn State, who will talk on how acidic deposition affects birds.

Program: Planning session for the Christmas Bird Counts, and anyone who comes is welcome to bring a holiday snack to share. Audubon CBC web site
