2014 Fall Calendar for meetings and field trips

Further details of all 2014 field trips will be posted to the State College Bird Club listserv group.

Unless otherwise noted, all regular meetings will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room in the Community Building in the Foxdale Village Retirement Community.

Details of local field trips will be announced on the scbirdcl e-mail list.

November 22, 2014  (Saturday)
Shaver's Creek Environmental Center. The empasis is on those who have little to no birding experience. More experienced birders are welcome to join, but they are strongly encouraged to bring along a friend or relative who is new to birding!
Meet: 9:00 am at the main parking lot at Shaver's Creek.

December 7, 2014  (Sunday)
Big Hollow (Sunset Park). The empasis is on those who have little to no birding experience. More experienced birders are welcome to join, but they are strongly encouraged to bring along a friend or relative who is new to birding!

Fall 2014 Banding Dates

The Fall banding schedule follows. Winds above 20 mph and any precipitation cancels banding for that day. A Bander's Training Course is also expected to be held this fall, but the date is not yet chosen. More information will be posted.

The Air Quality Site  (AQ) is located behind the Botanic Gardens (BG), both of which are near the intersection of East Park Ave. and Bigler Road.
