Picture of a Northern Shrike at Bald Eagle State Park near Howard, PA in Centre County on 1/4/2004 at about 4:30 PM in light rain. The shrike was perched in a shrub near the beach parking lot. I had set up the scope about 30 feet away from the bird, near the rear of my car. The scope was a Nikon Spotter XL with a 15 - 47x zoom eyepiece and 60 mm objective. The picture was taken at 15x through the scope by holding up to the lens a Canon model S110 digital elph camera set on the equivalent focal length of 50 mm. The image was cropped to remove the 'scope circle' from the image and corrected for color balance and contrast using Photoshop.
